Thanks to everyone for their wonderful responses to our cake giveaway! We loved hearing about all of your favorite family recipes from Cowboy Cookies with chocolate chips, pecans and M&M’s to homemade Peppermint Stick Ice Cream.
Congratulations goes to T. Teare who gave us step-by-step instructions for a super cute, caterpillar cake:
My kids have always loved the “caterpillar cake,” introduced to us by our good friend Sally. Make a bundt cake, cut the cake in half, and line the halves up end to end so they make an “s” shape. Cover with frosting tinted light green, add M & Ms for spots and eyes, and use thin licorice for antennas. Yum! – TT
T. Teare will win a custom cake or cake ball order up to $50 from Cathy Ducey of Mom Made It! in Scarborough. Coincidentally, Cathy also makes an adorable Very Hungry Caterpillar Cake based on the book by Eric Carle. It’s one of MP’s favorites:
Thanks again to all our readers! And be sure to send in your recipes. Who knows? The team may test it and highlight your family’s favorite sweet treat here.
