We’ve been thinking CP#1 and CP #2 might enjoy sharing a room, which means painting, buying new bunk beds and moving copious amounts of stuff around. The work is enough to make us feel tired just thinking about it.
Thankfully Maine is chock full of talented artists and designers to provide inspiration. We adore the bright colors Yarmouth artist Alison Bramhall selected for her Destinations Down East poster, which features an alphabet of fun illustrations. Plus it’s hard to resist artwork that boasts an eagle wearing earmuffs flying over Eggemoggin Reach (try saying that 10 times fast).
Alison spent over a year brainstorming each frame of the poster, making sure the letters highlighted something unique to Maine. The piece also offers an alphabet of well-researched facts. For example, did you know Maine has a coastline stretching 3500 miles when a person goes in and out of all the harbors? That’s longer than the state of California. Yowza.
We’re such fans of Alison’s work, we decided why not give away a poster? All you have to do is tell us your favorite place to find kids furniture, art, bedding or fun room accessories in Maine. One winner will be selected at random. Contest ends Tuesday, April 19. Good luck!
