MP adores this time of year. There are inspired outdoor markets going on all over the state, and many offer live music, food, and crafts for the kiddos. This weekend, MP is looking forward to shopping the In Bloom Artisan Market at Doc’s Cafe in Cumberland.
The artisan market is the brainchild of Heather DeSimone. The jewelry designer is the woman behind Leetie Lovendale vintage lucite jewelry and former owner of the Beadin’ Path in Freeport. In addition to her design work, Heather has begun coordinating juried local shows featuring Maine artists.
The In Bloom Artisan Market has a host of great artists and designers from throughout the state. MP especially likes these super cute throw pillows from Sunday White.
CP#1 is going to love these handmade purses from Kate Prideaux of Katrina’s Machine.
Cute Potato favorite Worthy Goods will also be at the show. MP has always admired their beautifully made hats.
While parents are shopping, the kids can enjoy the Make and Take tent or try some delicious baked goods from Docs. Plus, the Cumberland Farmers Market is just down the road at the Cumberland Town Hall (9-noon). What a great way to enjoy a sunny Saturday in Maine!
