DP celebrated his 40th birthday yesterday. To surprise him, MP thought it would be fun to make t-shirts to commemorate the big day. She had this silly idea of creating a whoopie pie shirt that reads, “Whoopie! You’re 40.” Surprisingly, the shirts were so easy to make.

CP #2 is about to celebrate his 3rd birthday and because he is our resident rocker, MP decided to throw him a rock and roll themed bash. To help, she enlisted the talents of Olio Designs in Rangeley. Shop owner/designer Meg Shelton is a dynamo when it comes to party favors. Even Martha Stewart Weddings noticed Meg’s talents and named her one the magazine’s favorite crafters. Needless to say, MP knew Meg would rock this assignment.

Last weekend, the Children’s Garden in our town held a wonderfully creative garden party for the kids. There were scarecrows to be made, printed cards to decorate, peas and carrots to pick and face painting a plenty. But what CP#1 and #2 loved best were the adorable, sunflower cupcakes. MP told them they could have just one, but she’s pretty sure the pair helped themselves to more when she wasn’t looking. And really, who could blame them?
