Finally! We are back from a busy summer break that included finalizing a big project (details in a future post), entertaining houseguests, road trips, and all variety of camps for the kids. This beautiful stretch of September weather is impossible to ignore. We left our boxes behind last Sunday, and decided to enjoy a family picnic at Fort Williams Park in Cape Elizabeth. MP also wanted to check out the Bite Into Maine food truck, which has received national attention for their lobster rolls, and the progress of The Fort Williams Arboretum.

We brought hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, and fruit skewers along, but MP and DP decided to split a Bite Into Maine lobster roll as an appetizer (we chose a version with wasabi mayonnaise). The lobster roll offered generous pieces of lobster and a hint of spice. The accolades are well-deserved— this roll is the perfect late summer treat.
